Job Description

The user support analyst is an entry-level position that provides technical help to users with computer difficulties by answering questions and walking users through steps to resolve issues remotely or in person.

Will be responsible for installing routine hardware and software updates as directed.

Other duties will include maintaining records of court property, administering the phone system, scheduling and streaming Zoom events, troubleshooting printers, scanners, and other peripherals, and supporting general administrative activities.

The user support analyst is one of three Information Technology staff in the organization who work closely with each other and the administrative team. The user support analyst works under the general supervision of the systems administrator and chief deputy marshal.

Education and Training Guidelines

Four years of administrative and computer-related experience.

Post-high-school education or Information Technology certifications may substitute for experience.

Competencies

The successful candidate will demonstrate organizational and problem-solving skills in working with information technology.

Skilled in using Microsoft 365 Suite, SharePoint, Teams, and Adobe DC.

Knowledge in the audio-visual field is desirable.

Special Comments

The court’s interim headquarters is in downtown Tampa, pending the completion of a new courthouse in downtown St. Petersburg in 2025.

The successful candidate will be hired at the minimum salary.

After a successful six-month training period, the position may offer occasional opportunities to work from home.
